Vinyl Siding
PVC or Vinyl siding is fast to install comes in several vinyl thickness, profiles and several hundreds of colors. If you can see through the vinyl sheet, that is a cheap vinyl siding. Other issues with vinyl siding are:

* Stronger against impacts by objects
* Broken pieces are easy to replace
* The color is easy to match, as being paint able
* Color fades under sun light, but also the colors are easy to match.
* Does not burn and is termite resistant which could reduce your Homeowner’s insurance premiums
* Corner board are also available in fiber cement but pressure treated wood is a very good option.
* Installing in more difficult and costly.
* Is not to be used under water.
Cedar Wood Siding
As any wood product, has a beautiful and natural appearance. Usually needs some kind of stain or paint. Rotted wood is also a factor but has a very good lifetime. Being paint able with any color, makes cedar wood siding a unique option for siding, however the cost is higher that fiber cement siding. Does not resist fire so you can not save in your Home owners insurance premiums
Masonite Siding
Was a popular product, made with recycled particle wood, glue and pressure? Has a thin layer of paper on the surface which is the only barrier against environment conditions. Once this paper break, leaves expose the particle board to moisture, which is its worst enemy, which makes a poor quality option for siding. Ready to be painted with any color, easy to replace and one of the cheaper siding in the market.
